“My Three Songs” used the theme music of the old Fred MacMurray TV show “My Three Sons” to string together three songs with a hidden link between them. The connection could be in the lyrics or the performer or the producer.
For an added challenge, listeners were to call after the second song and guess what the third song would be.

KFOG KaBoom was an annual outdoor concert held by KFOG in San Francisco and which occurred in May from 1994 to 2010. It was followed by a fireworks show synchronized to a soundtrack broadcast by the station. The extravagant fireworks display drew over 350,000 people. In 2007, KaBoom began charging admission due to rising costs.
Every Friday at 5 pm, KFOG played "Smoke Two Joints" by the Toyes to kick off the weekend.
This KFOG tradition is one of several that ended in April 2016.
